Christopher J. Brodie better known by his stage name Fresh is an American rapper, songwriter, performer and designer. He began his career in January 2010 where he signed a record deal with Sea Note Entertainment. He now plans to release his debut album, A Fresh Start on January 1st 2011.

Fresh was born and raised in New York. As a young child he played in his school’s band and father’s church as a percussionist. Fresh began his career performing in many Open Mic shows throughout New York City. The Open Mic shows provide an opportunity for aspiring artists to gain experience performing to live audiences. Receiving positive feedback at all times, Fresh strived to be the best performer he can possibly be.

“I feel great when I’m on stage seeing the crowd’s response to my music,” said Fresh.

On October 21st, Fresh performed at the Blue Room in Queens, NY to about 300 viewers where he received first place for his showcase. He stole the show with his 15 minute performance and the crowd took in every minute of it.

“Coming up I didn’t always have much and I’m definitely no stranger to hard times,” said Fresh. “I was taught to work for everything I want in life and to never let anyone stop me.”

In June of 2010, the rappers family decided to make a drastic move to Morganton, NC. With his career starting to take off, Fresh made a decision to stay in Brooklyn, NY with relatives.

“I knew that if I were to make that move it would definitely slow down my music and that was something I wasn’t willing to do for anyone,” said Fresh. “I decided to leave my family and stay in New York the place I was born and raised to pursue my music career.”

The aspiring artists’ first music video “Give you the world,” was filmed in New York City.

Fresh is no stranger to entrepreneurship. At the age of 20 he is already a fashion designer and a manger to a 16 year old rapper. His clothing line called Popular Stranger Clothing is set to debut next year.

Fresh has over 1,863 views of his videos on YouTube and is constantly updating his channel with more videos. Fresh also has a fan following on popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter where he can constantly update his fans with news.

Currently Fresh is preparing for a six state two country tour starting in January. His tour will end in April with the last destination of Jamaica.

One thing that separates Fresh from his competition is his desire for success.

“I have a very strong mentality and I don’t believe in Failure,” said Fresh.
